EECA Cluster position papers on “Enhancing collaboration with ETPs”

Over the last 2,5 years (January 2014 – July 2016) the Cluster partners carried out a broad range of activities to bring together members of European Technology Platforms and EECA experts and build communities of people that will exchange ideas and share experiences and concerns on how to exploit emerging collaboration opportunities and address common societal challenges.

In this environment, the Cluster worked closely with New European Media Initiative (NEM) and the Networked European Software and Services Initiative (NESSI) through Engineering Ingegneria Informatica and Athens Technology Centre which are both Cluster partners and member of NEM and NESSI Steering Boards respectively. Through the course of the project and during various meetings, consultations, community building activities in the broader fields of "Interactive Content Media & Creative Industries" and "Big Data, Software and Services" :

  • NEM and NESSI strategic priorities, objectives and activities were presented
  • Numerous NEM and NESSI members as well members of their Steering Boards had the opportunity to interact with key research and industrial actors from the EECA region and investigate their collaboration potential; and
  • The common R&I priorities between NEM/NESSI and the EECA countries have been identified, discussed and validated.

The partners' findings on how to enhance the collaboration between NEM/NESSI and relevant structures from the EECA countries in ICT areas of mutual interest are outlined in two position papers that have been elaborated:
