
The Final Conference of the EECA CLuster was successfully organised on 13-14 June 2016 in Chisinau, Moldova. More than 100 participants representating leading commercial, government and research organisations from the EU and the entire Eastern Europe and Central Asia region had the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, lessons learnt and good practices EU-funded research projects. The main objective was to:
- Present Collaboration Opportunities among ICT research and industrial organisations under R&I teams and New Support Opportunities for the EECA in H2020
- Discuss /Present Recommendations for the future cooperation between the European Technology Platforms (ETPs) and the EECA region (common R&I priorities, factors hindering this collaboration and actions to overcome them)
- Facilitate networking among EU and EECA organisations
ICT areas of focus
The conference focused on 2 key ICT sub-fields which demonstrate a high potential for EU-EECA collaboration, namely:
- Big Data, Software and Services; and
- Interactive Content, Media and Creative industries
